Thomas Seymat is a residential fellow at the Donald W. Reynolds Journalism Institute at the Missouri School of Journalism for the 2018-2019 school year. There, he will develop a tool to gather research on how audiences respond to 360 videos and other VR content.
Thomas in on leave from his role as a VR editor of Euronews where he leads the implementation of an innovative immersive journalism workflow. Since June 2016 he has orchestrated the production of 145+ 360°/VR experiences. He has also trained journalists and spoken at conferences throughout Europe, and is an ambassador of the Journalism360 initiative.
Before, he led Euronews‘ live-blogs operations, produced data-visualisations, and reported on European news. He has received a journalism award from the European Commission in 2009.
