Turning curious toddlers into teenage news consumers

We failed millennials. We don’t have to make the same mistakes again.

My nieces are three and four. They don’t know about Google yet, so they ask me a lot of questions. In 10 years, they will be our audience, and I want news organizations to be ready to foster their curiosity. How can media be an exciting part of growing up? They will have spent their entire lives able to express themselves publicly. They won’t put up with being left out of the conversation. So let’s invite them in early and encourage them to stay — and ask questions.
