Sara is director of journalism school partnerships for the Solutions Journalism Network, chief storyteller at GroundSource and teaches digital journalism at the University of Southern California. She serves on the program committee for the JSK Journalism Fellowship, where she was a fellow, and supports the Online News Association Women's Leadership Accelerator as a mentor and advisor. Past roles include creator of JTrust, a pop-up newsletter about trust and journalism, curator for the American Press Institute's Better News Initiative, editorial director at Zócalo Public Square, West Coast Editor in Charge for Reuters and head of digital news at NBC4 Southern California.
