Local television newsrooms must find a way to create content experiences that serve viewers whereever they’re watching.
Local TV station digital producers and reporters are the target of this workshop because our struggle is different than most print and digital-only operations. We’re oftentimes balancing getting newscasts on the air while also publishing content that thrives on digital. Our reporters are typically focused on the TV product while also balancing social responsibilities. My experience shows that what works on TV doesn’t always work on digital but content optimized for digital works on TV. This workshop will both help us think through ideas on how to flip the workflow and foster a digital-first mindset that really works.
