Kevin Nguyen is a psychologist-turned-journalist who cut his teeth as a reporter and photographer in western Sydney. He has since worked across Australia and abroad in New York, Washington D.C., Dublin, India and Hong Kong. In October he will join the news, analysis and investigations team at the Australian Broadcasting Corporation as a producer. Previously, he was a digital journalist with social media intelligence agency Storyful, focusing on Australia’s offshore detention centres and white nationalism in Australia, Europe and the United States. He has lectured journalism at the University of Technology Sydney and is the digital director of Media Diversity Australia. He and Batman have never been seen in a room together, which some consider suspicious.
