Press freedom is under attack. One way to fight back is for news organizations to approach each other more as potential collaborators than as competitors.
Join us for an exclusive gathering of industry leaders to talk about how media outlets can work together, pooling our resources to create powerful journalism and ensure that it reaches a wider audience. Through editorial collaborations, newsrooms can partner with local, niche, and international publishers to expand their reporting capacity and reach. Newsrooms can also join together to launch crowdsourcing campaigns that allow them to connect with communities they would not be able to reach on their own.
Come have a drink and a snack with newsroom leaders and other ONA attendees to discuss possible partnerships and the future of collaborative journalism.
This event is free for ONA18 attendees with full conference passes but to receive a drink ticket attendees will have needed to RSVPed. RSVPs closed 48 hours in advance.
Full-conference badges for ONA18 are required for entry. This reception is generously sponsored by The Intercept.
