Raymond Ruiz is the president and founder of EGMN (El Gato Media Network), a 501(c)(3) a journalism and communications education nonprofit. For the past nine years, he has worked with students in Houston on journalism, photography, public relations, social media and media production. Raymond has a master\u2019s degree in gifted education and a bachelor\u2019s degree in technology management from the University of Houston. He has mentored for AAJA, SPJ, NAHJ and Next Generation Radio. When not working with students, he is doing communications consulting for nonprofits and small businesses. Outside of media, he has a passion for helping the community.
