Ziva Branstetter is senior editor for Reveal from The Center for Investigative Reporting, overseeing Reveal\u2019s coverage of immigration and of the workplace.<\/p>\n
At Reveal, she is among editors who supervise and mentor journalists of color from other news organizations who are part of a yearlong investigative fellowship program. Branstetter serves on the board of Investigative Reporters and Editors and is a staunch advocate for transparency in government, serving as a plaintiff in numerous open-records lawsuits. She was a finalist for a Pulitzer Prize in 2015 for an investigation of a botched execution. Branstetter came to CIR from Tulsa, Oklahoma, where she was the first editor in chief of The Frontier, an investigative newsroom she helped launch.
