Alex Curry is a research associate at the University of Texas at Austin Center for Media Engagement, and a doctoral candidate in UT\u2019s Department of Communication Studies. His research interests include news, civic engagement, and the creation of community through sports. He holds a master\u2019s degree in mass communication from Brigham Young University.
