Samanthi Dissanayake is the Asia editor for the BBC News website overseeing the digital, social and video stories out of Asia. She started off working for the political and cultural monthly Prospect Magazine in London and made her transition to digital at the height of the dotcom boom, where she worked for some ambitious but doomed ventures.
