He came to The Atlantic, from NPR, where he launched several digital and broadcast coverage teams for the network\u2014including Code Switch, which covers race, ethnicity, and culture, and NPR Ed, which covers education\u2014and co-wrote the organization&#8217;s ethics handbook. He has been a reporter and editor at news outlets across the country, including the Minneapolis Star Tribune, the Fresno Bee, and the Poynter Institute.
