Sharon Pian Chan is Vice President of Innovation, Product & Development at The Seattle Times. She leads the product development team, the business intelligence team and community funding for public-service journalism. Chan previously served as a deputy managing editor and opinion editor at The Seattle Times but spent most of her career as a reporter, covering beats ranging from City Hall to Microsoft. She received her B.A. from Pomona College and her Executive M.B.A. from MIT in 2017.
