One of the greatest growing resources Austin has is its tech community. Having lived here five years now I always tell any organization visiting the Silicon Hills, that they need to get out of their hotel or conference space and meet, greet and connect with the startup folks here. You owe it to yourself to SEE SOME AUSTIN if you make the trip here. This session would deliver a heavy dose of Austin tech savvy and sensibility through a series of ignite talks from startup-minded, tech-thinking thought leaders from a series of local companies and projects. Most will not be media companies, but all will inspire and inform — and most importantly deliver a heavy dose of Austin.
We’ll use a strict ignite talk format — 10 talks, 5 minutes each, 20 slides x 15 seconds apiece (auto-advanced).
(I’ve been an ignite speaker, organizer and fanboy for years now. We’ve added panels of ignite talks to the international Society for News Design workshops three of the last four years).
